What to do if you are bitten by a snake? Snakes can be venomous or innocent nonvenomous. But for safety, it's better to get admitted to the nearest hospital. Before we talk about snake bite management will talk about background knowledge of snake bites.  Why do some snake bites become venomous?   Venomous snakes have specialized salivary glands that secret and store venom which is probably evolved to catch the prey. These venoms can cause life-threatening complications once they enter the bloodstream. Because of that, there are two types of snake bites.  1. Then those muscles get contracted leading to visible jerky body movements. As brain functioning gets abnormal most of the time consciousness is also affected. These sometimes get resolved spontaneously. When this type of fitting episode occurs with the fever we call it a febrile convulsion. But most importantly there should not be any evidence of brain infection.  What are the common causes of fits? 1. hypog
